The Life and Times of Steven P. Jobs
Yesterday’s post on the birthday of the iPhone got me inspired to look a little deeper into the man behind the magic.  Here are a few of the more interesting facts that have been compiled about Steve Jobs.   Fact #1 – Stevie did not graduate from college.  In fact, Jobs dropped out after only one semester at Reed College.  (hear that ma? told you college was a waste of time.) Fact #2 – Jobs is a...

TumblrStats Tells Me I'm Awesome

Tumblr has had a pretty hot year, more than doubling its unique monthly visitors in 12 months.  In May of 2010, Twitter and LinkedIn had five times as many visitors as Tumblr.  As of May 2011, their stats are only twice that of Tumblr’s.  Want more? Mashable presented an article yesterday reporting that Tumblr has officially surpassed WordPress in number of blogs. *record scratch* ...

Chad Chumperson, Nickelback, and Other Things I...
Social media marketing works because it utilizes a medium that people visit regularly for their own enjoyment.  Social media does not come with a bombardment of ads, spam, and popups.  It’s not like every other advertising medium.  So don’t treat it like one. Don’t be the guy in this cartoon.  Don’t be Chad Chumperson. People using social media are not going to “like” your business Facebook...
